First round interview for UN Youth Volunteer held successfully at BVF
Expert team communicates with the candidate
On 29thJanuary 2018, the first round interview for UN Youth Volunteer was held successfully at Beijing Volunteer Service Federation. The jury consisted of experts from Beijing Youth League and Beijing Volunteer Service Federation interviewed 9 outstanding candidates at BVF. The candidates were well prepared and demonstrated their competences during the interview. There will be 3 candidates selected for the UN Youth Volunteer posts based at UNICEF (Thailand), UNV (Cambodia) and UN-Habitat (Kenya) for assignments of 6 months. The posts are devoted to working areas of communication, network capacity building and urban youth and livelihoods.
The UN Youth Volunteer Programme is a key component of the CICETE, UNV & BVFcollaborationproject in volunteer service (phaseIII). Under the guidance of‘Sustainable Goals’and‘South-South Cooperation’, the UN Youth Volunteers are expected to devote volunteerism in countries along‘Belt and RoadInitiative’, topioneer regional ‘people-to-people’ cooperation and demonstrate how South-to-South volunteerism can tackle sustainable development challenges.
