Types of Naruto Rasengan
The Rasengan
This version is the most basic form of Rasengan. The user concentrates chakra in his hand and makes it whirl while maintaining it in the shape of a ball. The power of this Rasengan depends on the quantity of chakra that the user uses.

The Rasengan Naruto Style
Since Naruto could not initially create and control his chakra using only one hand he had get help from his Kage Bunshin (Shadow Clone) in order to execute the attack. The clone creates the swirls of chakra while Naruto maintains the chakra in a ball.

Oodama Rasengan (Great Ball Spiraling Sphere)
A larger and more powerful version of the Rasengan molded using the Nine-tailed fox's chakra. As the chakra is more unstable, he needs a clone to form and control the energy. Naruto uses this Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Jutsu) to defeat Yuura (who was acting as Itachi by way of a shape shifting technique).

Fuuton: Rasen Shuriken (Wing Release: Spiraling Shuriken)
The Rasen Shuriken is a jutsu orginally created by Naruto. It is the Rasengan technique with utilization of the element of wind, making it shaped like a Shuriken. Naruto uses two shadow clones to aid in the creation of the jutsu; one for chakra manipulation and one for nature manipulation, while he controls the justsu. Naruto, surprisingly, has pulled this jutsu off in battle 3 times against Akatsuki member Kakuzu, when his limit was said to be only two shots. In his third attempt, he had three shadow clones performing the jutsu, which ultimately connected and brought down Kakuzu. The attack, when connecting with Kakuzu was so fast and hit so many times that even Kakashi's Sharingan was unable to see it. And the shocking thing is that shockingthe thingjutsu is considered to be only a half completed justu.
