Background Story:

Biography:

Might Guy (or Might Gai) is a Konoha jonin and the leader of Team Guy,Maito Gai - NARUTOFAN GALORE!!!! consisting of Neji Hyuuga, Tenten and Rock Lee. However, Guy tends to devoted the majority of his time to Lee’s training. But due to the intense and overzealousness of Guy’s training regime, neither Neji nor Tenten complains about not getting enough tutelage from their sensei. Guy sometimes refers to Lee as his “kawaii” little student; the reason why he likes Lee so much is because Lee reminds him of himself and his own struggle to become a great shinobi. Lee admires his sensei so much that he modeled himself after him from the distinctive bowl haircut to the cheesy green jumpsuit. Guy is not exactly known for his intelligence, but he excels in taijutsu and anything requiring physical strength and speed. He has passed on many of his taijutsu techniques onto Lee, who cannot use all ninjutsu or genjutsu. Guy has a friendly rivalry against fellow Konoha jonin, Kakashi Hatake. The two often challenge each other in matches, but some of these could be as simple as a game of rock-paper-scissors. But Guy has also developed special techniques to combat against Kakashi’s ninjutsu and the abilities of the Sharingan. So far, Guy has a lead of 50 wins and 49 losses over Kakashi.

Trivia: Kishimoto has stated that he based Guy’s personality off of his intense and over-enthusiastic gym teacher in junior high school. Though the teacher’s appearance was not a physical model for Might Guy.

Abilities and Jutsus:
Strong Fist Strong Fist (Taijutsu)
Strong Fist is the martial arts style normally used by Might Guy. Its purpose is to use speed and strength to break bones and cause external injuries.
Eight Gates Eight Gates (Taijutsu) (Special)
The Eight Gates refer to chakra gates in the body which regulate the flow of chakra. The release of a gate essentially removes the restraint on chakra flow in the body and allows the user to surpass his normal physical limits. However, using this technique also causes damage to the body, especially as more gates are opened. Guy can open at least six of the eight gates.
Maito Gai - NARUTOFAN GALORE!!!! Guy's Turtle (Summon)
Actually it's more likely a tortoise or land turtle. It has only appeared once during Guy's introduction (ep.22). It seems to have the ability to throw pinwheels like kunai or shurikens.
Maito Gai - NARUTOFAN GALORE!!!! Nunchacku (Weapon)
Gai resorts to using his nunchucks only when his opponent is extremely strong, such as when he fought Kisame. With his speed, Guy can use his nunchucks with deadly efficieny in close combat.
Maito Gai - NARUTOFAN GALORE!!!! Flaming Peacock (Taijutsu)
A super fast technique which Guy can use after opening the Gates. Once the opponent is in the air, Guy closes in and pumbles him with lightning fast punches enhanced with fire created due to air friction.
Maito Gai - NARUTOFAN GALORE!!!! Dynamic Entrance (Taijutsu)
Guy has a habit of making flashy entrances. Dynamic Entrance is basically a flying kick which Guy uses as his opening move when he makes his appearance.
